On 8th June 2023 I had my first ever London show at the Zari Gallery in Fitzrovia. From leaving my job in finance in the City in September 2021 and having moved home to Belfast in October 2022, to be back again showing my work as an artist felt like a full circle moment. This show was another collaboration with my then studio partner Paul Doran. Paul had worked with Georgina Dhillon, the owner of the gallery on two previous shows and had introduced her to my work.
The theme for our show was Minding Minds Together which was a follow on from another larger project and exhibition held in Ross’ Auction House earlier in the year. The theme of mental health and trauma also included a strong element of hope. Issues that are important for many of the people of Belfast given our history.
We worked together in Ross’ in the months leading up to the show to create our collections and we ended up bringing over 8 pieces each. My collection included pieces such as Breaking Out Of The Box, Searching For the Strength Inside, Flashes of Hope and Joy and my biggest piece to date - Alternative Belfast All Lit Up At Night. My collection also included my most well known piece ‘More’ which was purchased by a great supporter of mine Fascinating Aida extraordinaire Dilly Keane. This piece is now my most popular print which is available on the prints section of my site.
We had an unbelievable turnout turn out with a crowd made up of the galleries’ clients, friends and family all spilling out onto Newman Street. We had music from Georgina’s nephew to set the tone and after a few words from ourselves and Georgina to welcome the crowd, the show was a success with multiple pieces selling on the night and more in the two weeks to follow.
Below is some more detail on the Zari gallery, they are worth a visit next time you are in Fitzrovia:

We are a cultural hub and Art Gallery located in London’s Fitzrovia. Founded in 2016, by entrepreneur Georgina Dhillon, our team is dedicated to art that transcends borders. We do this by showcasing the finest new and established artists from all corners of the world who are united by their mixed cultural heritage.
From paintings and sculpture to photography and video, we embrace all mediums and present them in a way that’s engaging and accessible. It is how we have become a beacon for artists and collectors who want more from art: more inspiration, more inclusion and more connection.
We understand that the art world can be challenging. And that’s why we host a regular programme of workshops, talks and events alongside carefully curated real-life and virtual exhibitions. We also run a number of philanthropic and educational initiatives, like giving young artists the business skills needed to thrive.
Everything we do stems from our belief in the unreasonable power of hope. Come feel it for yourself.
