Memento Mori

If the last few months have taught me anything it is to take nothing in this life for granted.

“Memento mori” is a Latin phrase that translates to “remember that you will die.” If you have not heard it before you may perceive this as being morbid but its meaning is very much the opposite. It is a reminder of the inevitability of death and the transient & fragile nature of life. It is often used as a motif in art and literature to encourage reflection on mortality and the importance of living meaningfully.

We only have so much time on this beautiful earth & there is no point spending it getting caught up in stupid irrelevant nonsense.

I love this phrase as it is a reminder that our time here is limited & that we must make the most of the opportunities we have & also not take anything or anyone for granted.

This print is printed on museum-quality etching cotton rag giclée paper, signed & numbered by Niall Conlon.

This print comes unframed.
