More Irish, More Blacks, More Dogs
More Irish, More Blacks, More Dogs
This work is a response to an old sign, “No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs” - a sign that some London boarding houses would have put up in the 1950s. While it important to recognise that these signs existed it is also essential to acknowledge the huge progress that has been made in promoting inclusivity and diversity since then.
This artwork has been acquired by the Ulster Museum as part of their “Inclusive Global Histories” programme.
In a world so fractured the message of inclusivity, diversity, empathy & togetherness has never been “More” important.
